Ibiza Hair brushes have been on my list of must-haves for a long, long time.
As a stylist, when I see an immaculate blowout I swoon with both delight and envy - and more often than not, an iconic Ibiza Hair brush is the tool behind the bouncy, glossy blowout of my dreams.
In my vivid imagination, I like to think that the signature cork handles are sourced directly from the repurposed corks of thousands of champagne bottles popped at sleazy Ibiza beach clubs like Pacha.
Not true... but they do share their origins in the Mediterranean regions of Spain, where the cork grows soft and abundant. The bark of the cork oak tree is carefully peeled away while the tree goes on with its life, in a cycle of harvest and regeneration - making cork wholesomely sustainable as a material.
We do love a heritage brand, too. Established in the 1950s by travelling car salesman Max Johles, and now run by his son, hairstylist Aaron Johles, Ibiza Hair tools have been around long enough to be instantly recognisable. Just like a Bic lighter, the original design endures; quite simply because it's, well, good.
